Organization
The book is divided into five parts. Part I
provides a general introduction to web services. Part II through Part V focus
on core web service technologies, including XML-RPC, SOAP, WSDL, and
UDDI. The book concludes with a glossary of common web service terms.
Part I, Introduction to Web Services
Chapter 1 provides an overview of web services,
the web service architecture, and the web service protocol stack. It
also provides a snapshot of current standardization efforts of the
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
